Join Joan Green in the comfort of your home or office from any type of computer or tablet (iOS/iPad or Android) to learn about her top iPad picks for helping adults who have cognitive and memory challenges from strokes, head injuries, developmental disorders, degenerative conditions and for adults who want to keep their brains "sharp" . An emphasis will be places on drill and practice apps to improve cognitive and memory abilities as well as iPad features, apps and strategies to help compensate for cognitive challenges.  After a formal presentation showing how she uses the iPad and selected apps and features, there will  be 20 minutes for collaboration, discussion and Q&A.  A detailed handout will be emailed to participants with information about all the resources which are included in the presentation as well as additional resources which may prove helpful.  This webinar is limited to the first 25 individuals who register.

 

A wide variety of apps and strategies wil be presented to help people who are working on improving:

  • reasoning
  • memory
  • executive functioning skills
  • organization
  • new learning

The presentation is appropriate for speech-language pathologists, teachers, tutors, and families as well as other education and rehab professionals. A basic understanding of iPad use and the procedure for installing apps will be assumed.

 

Ceus are not available for webinars but a certificate of completion will be emailed upon request.
